BurdaStyle Strengthens Its Footprint in Scandinavia with Infosoft as Technology Partner and Customer Service Provider
26 June, 2025

From fragmented data to full control: BurdaStyle has gained new momentum in the Scandinavian market with Infosoft as their technology partner.
BurdaStyle.com is the digital version of the legendary Burda Style magazine – a global icon in fashion and DIY sewing. With over 6,000 DIY patterns, video tutorials, and an active user base, the platform is a favorite among sewing enthusiasts worldwide.
The Move to Infosoft
Previously, Burda used an older software in Scandinavia but found it didn’t meet their expectations. Fragmented data, manual updates, and a lack of visibility into subscriptions and sales made it hard to stay in control. In 2023, when Burda migrated to Infosoft, resulting in a significant improvement in both efficiency and insight.
The migration was completed in October 2024.
- “For the first time, we had full visibility into our Scandinavian portfolio, with key metrics like MRR and churn rate available in real time via Power BI. That was a real breakthrough,” says Paul Morandy, Marketing and Subscription Product Manager at Burda.
Infosoft also helped simplify and streamline workflows. Previously, updating data and generating reports required manual work.
- “What makes Infosoft unique is how fast and accurate the insights are. There’s no waiting – the information we need isinstantly available,” says Morandy.
A Demanding Client
In addition to the technology platform, Infosoft also handles customer service for BurdaStyle across Scandinavia. This ensures a seamless experience for subscribers – regardless of country, language, or payment method – and frees up valuable internal resources at Burda.
- “I think we’re a demanding client,” Morandy admits.
Burda operates in multiple markets, in multiple languages, with various currencies, regulations, and needs for local customizations. This places high demands on flexibility and system support.
Right now, Burda is working on adding more payment methods, including Vipps and MobilePay.
- “But that part is on us now. The possibilities are already there in Infosoft,” says Morandy.
Becoming More Digital
The next step in the collaboration is to further develop the digital subscription experience. Plans include downloadable PDF subscriptions and tighter integration with Burda’s own websites. Burda already sees that the transition to Infosoft has brought clear added value – and the potential is far from exhausted.

- “We’re not there yet, but we have a clear vision. And we know we’ll get there together with Infosoft. I see them as partners – not vendors. We grow together,” concludes Morandy.
